Next date: Thursday, July 02, 2026 | 05:00 PM to Friday, July 31, 2026 | 05:00 PM

Ngā Pūrākau o te Ao Māori Exhibition.
Step into the world of Māori mythology through the eyes of a local artist raised in Te Awahou and now based in Levin.

Ngā Pūrākau o te Ao Māori is a powerful celebration of Māori Atua—reimagined in a bold, contemporary style.

At the heart of the exhibition is The Creation, depicting the separation of Rangi and Papa. You’ll also find works representing their children: Tāne Mahuta, Tāwhirimātea, Tangaroa, and Tūmatauenga.

Blending traditional whakairo with comic book, hip hop and graffiti influences, these works reflect the artist’s deep connection to whakapapa, storytelling, and his mahi with rangatahi.

Come and explore these vibrant interpretations of ancient stories—rooted in tradition, brought to life in a fresh new way.
